Summer at Karate West!

Board Breaking

...is our theme for summer! Each week a new technique will be taught and students will be “graded” on breaking boards. There will be four divisions (under 8, 9 to 12, teen, and adult) and each age division will have a grand champion winner who will be awarded a spectacular trophy!

Team Sparring Tournament

...is an all new event this summer! There will be ten members per team consisting of various belt levels (to keep the competition fair). Teams will spar throughout the summer during class to sharpen their skills. At the end of the summer, we will have an intra-school tournament to determine the winning teams!

Padded Weapon Sparring

...is always a summer favorite! Get your sparring gear on and expect to have some great fun!

Self Defense in Street Clothes

...is a new program for adult Karate and Hapkido students. This is sure to be a new and interesting way to practice your self defense skills!

Blue Max

...will visit the classrooms this summer. Blue Max is a valuable training suit that provides full protection against assault for the wearer. Students will have the opportunity to apply all their self defense moves at full contact on Blue Max.

Big Stranger

...is one of our most popular programs. Shihan Holeman has been teaching children throughout the Northwest about stranger safety for over 20 years. This is a very effective training system that no child should miss.

Bully Buster

...presented by Sensei Jackson, is a program designed to prepare students for back to school bully issues.

Sparring Seminar

...by Tim Tolliver is a must for every teen and adult sparring enthusiast! Tim is one of the premier Northwest fighters.

Arnis Sticks

...by Dan Anderson is a new and very exciting weapon addition to our summer curriculum. Come learn this incredible art by one of the foremost authors and experts.

Parent/Child Week

...is an all new event where parents participate with their kids in class. Kids love having their parents take part in their karate class! Don’t miss this wonderful bonding experience!
