Building Your Child's Self Esteem
Dear Karate West Member,
At Karate West, we understand that confidence is the companion of success. It is having the belief that you can achieve your goals.
We know that children and teens with strong self esteem are happier people. Teachers tell us that in today's school system, children do much better emotionally and academically if they have high self esteem. Self esteem enables them to present class projects with ease, ask questions with confidence and speak publicly with poise. Students with confidence are more likely to avoid the peer pressure of using drugs and alcohol. They try out for extracurricular activities and strive for better grades. They are not affected by bullies and do not become bullies.
A child's success depends upon what they think of themselves and whether they believe in their ability to set and achieve their goals.
At Karate West, the heart of our curriculum focuses on raising the level of self esteem and confidence in every student.
Respectfully,
Sensei Andrew
Head Instructor
